Sylvie has an innate curiosity about the human body and spirit, and this has drawn her to explore creative forms of movement and to learn about the body’s wondrous ability to heal. In her bodywork, she pays particular attention to the fascial lines of the body and the ways they influence movement patterns. Sylvie honors the important role of receiving in massage: we start with the understanding of wholeness and wellness within you, and together we can listen deeply to the intricacies of your being and attend to them.
Sylvie has been in private practice since 2019 and she loves helping her clients by addressing somatic issues or simply melting away stress and tension of daily life. She is opening a private practice in Fairhaven, and she’s excited to offer massage to her Bellingham community.
During her massage training, Sylvie had the opportunity to work with athletes from Penn State University and Olympic-level wrestlers, assisting with injury rehabilitation. She has also been a student of yoga and Ayurveda for many years. While not in the massage or yoga studio, she can be found running in the woods, freediving in the sea, cooking cozy food in the kitchen, at Acupuncture school, or on a fishing boat in Alaska.
